Fencing

Security fencing

Steel security fencing to mark and protect a boundary. It keeps people and vehicles where they should be, deters casual trespass and stands up to the weather. Suitable for commercial, industrial, farm and residential sites.

Fencing

Steel high-security fencing

Heavier-duty steel fencing for sites where security matters most, such as depots, yards, compounds and storage areas. It’s designed to be hard to climb or cut through, and the steel construction is built for durability. Suitable for commercial, industrial, farm and residential sites.

High-security styles include 358 anti-climb welded mesh, with openings of about 76 × 13 mm and 4 mm wire, too small for fingers or toes. Other options include steel palisade (vertical steel pales with pointed tops) and chain-link (chainwire) fencing topped with barbed wire. Ask us for your exact spec.

Vehicle and pedestrian gates

Pedestrian gates and double swing, track-sliding or cantilever-sliding vehicle gates. Cantilever gates run without a ground track, which suits uneven ground and heavy traffic. Gates can be manual or automated, with access control such as remotes, keypads, card readers or intercoms. Sized to your opening. Ask us for your exact spec.

Frequently asked questions

General information only. Rules vary by council and change over time, so check with your council or a building certifier. For more detail, read our approvals and delivery guide.

Do you install fencing?

No. We supply fencing and gates only. You arrange installation yourself or with a fencing contractor of your choice. Give us your lengths, heights and gate openings, and we’ll help you work out what to order.

Do I need approval for a security fence?

In Queensland, a fence up to 2 m high (not a pool fence) generally doesn’t need building approval, but a fence over 2 m generally does. Councils also have local laws on barbed wire, razor wire and electric fences, so check yours. A security fence isn’t automatically a compliant pool barrier. Does your fencing meet an Australian Standard?

The Australian Standard for chain-link security fencing is AS 1725.1. We don’t claim that a particular Australian Standard applies to our welded-mesh or steel picket fencing. If your project specifies a standard, include it in your quote request so we can discuss it with you. [PLACEHOLDER: product specifications or standards, only if Frankie can supply evidence]

How much does security fencing cost?

Price on application. Every job is quoted individually, because length, height, style, finish and gates all affect the price. Request a quote and we’ll price your job.

Do you deliver, and where?

We arrange delivery of your fencing and gates by tilt truck, crane truck or Hiab. Installation is not included — you arrange that yourself or with a fencing contractor. For New Zealand orders, how shipping is arranged varies by job and is confirmed on your quote. We supply fencing and gates to Australia and New Zealand only.
